Vidqun,
You keep avoiding the OP question: "Who designed cancer?" (and other horible diseases)
If it was designed, who designed it? If it evolved, then say so. If you don't know, just say you don't know. Very simple.
one thing i regret, is not listening to the questions in my head whilst a jw.
one i didn't ask until years after leaving was....who designed disease?
of course the first thing to realise is the complexity of disease, the histology, pathology and aetiology.

It is little wonder that the WTS depicts a Cat 5 cable as a snake. It is a snake that has bitten them.
If the Cat 5 cable is the snake that has bitten them, then I hope Cat 6, Cat6A and Fiber (more bandwidth) will eventualy be the boa that will swallow for breakfast their rat a$$es..

I'll post a revised graph in a short while
Maybe you should leave it as is. If the Brooklyn spies check it out, they may push internet use to the R&F

Cedars,
Are the values on your X-axis transposed. The overall graph shows the biggest increase 4.58% in the countries with 90-100% internet penetration. In this case, the internet supports growth...awwww scary
Great effort, no doubt. Numerical analysis looks sound, just the graph contradicts it, IMO.
I love the countries with insignificant number of publishers (i.e. 200-500) where the addition of few people makes for a sizeable increase in the percentage points.
"Brothers, we have experienced a 300 percent growth in some lands (added the spouse and both kids to the 2 brothers)"!!!!

Stonewall, good point. Granted, circular reasoning at its best.
Hmm, no. It's a special pleading. Can't tell you how many versions of the "complexity=creation" argument I've heard and when it comes to the application of the same standards one level up, the exception comes into play.
You said it: " But what is good for the goose is good for the gander ", why the change of heart now?
my wife received a letter in the mail from a jw she had known from school.
we have seen this sister about twice in the last ten years; the last occasion was 4 years ago.
she lives in another congregation a few miles away.. this sister heard that we had been "recently discouraged" - those were her words.
TS,
I almost threw the letter away thinking it was junk mail till I saw the name of the sender
Isn't this a perfect example of why we shouldn't read carefully and pay too much attention?
Had you followed the directions of Mother, this letter would have been discarded and case closed
the new yearbook is ready....with new memorail partakers numers: increase again: 11824 (last year was 11202).
Paul,
If you cut the Y-axis of your graph @8000, it will look even more impressive. Statisticians do it all the time, why can't us, regular folk, do it too...
i just got my offical grades from my school.
for the first time ever in my life i earned a 4.0 gpa for this last semester.
i made the dean's list again for the fall 2011 semester.
Not the works of the Debil thems higher ed institutions, huh?
Great! I hope you continue blazing through and be absolutely proud of the accomplishments achieved by using your God given (or not ) potential.

S&R,
Your answer above is a shining example of why the WT strongly discourages higher education. Even a Biology or Pshycology 101 class at a local college is extremely dangerous....let alone the in depth studies yous Docs go through.
Mad respect for anyone who can study and absorb for at least a decade such complex matter (<---this is my shout out to all the MDs out there)
who is the governing body?.
put simply, the governing body purports to be a small group of anointed men (currently numbering 7) who represent a much larger group (numbering the thousands) of anointed individuals living on earth today.
in nearly every reference to their position of oversight over the worldwide brotherhood, the governing body refer to themselves as being representatives.... .
[edit post: I posed this question to a close family member who is an elder only a couple of hours ago in a phone conversation, and despite the flailing around in an attempt to find an answer, I could tell that it completely stumped him]
Cedars, please keep us updated if he comes back with an answer. It would be nice to see what a reply from a "real" JW would be.
On the other hand, I wish you not only stumped him but flatout STUMBLED him
